I know this video is probably on its way of flooding most of your flists, but ITS WORTH IT.

I had given up hope of ever seeing David in REX and now there's THIS. ♥ :D

I know there's a lot of people hating on his American accent, but I LIKE IT. As a non-American, non-Brit, I'm sort of clueless concerning different accents. I can recognise English, Scottish and Irish, but that's about it. I can also tell that the people on True Blood have a  Southern (?) accent. BUT I  DON'T REALLY CARE I GUESS. I think the Scottish that's slipping through is cute. He can use any accent he wants, I'll still watch/listen. ♥
He is absolutely gorgeous and his hair is PERFECT. There are also SIDEBURNS and I approve of this.  He's wearing a suit and the way he's climbing the sofa and licking his fingers is enough reason to conclude that this show should've been picked up! ( I totally need a gif of this. I also need a gif of Ten sticking his fingers in  that peanut butterjar). I miss David on TV every week. And as some people have pointed out, Hugh Laurie started with a not so good American accent, but is now flawless. Not that it didn't get picked up because of David's accent. IT BETTER NOT. Just let him use his own Scottish accent, I think every show needs a Brit to be awesome. Flashforward had Dominic Monaghan, V has that guy, Ugly Betty had Christina, BSG  had James Callis, LOST had Penny and Desmond and they all make the shows better.

On a side note, I think Davids American accent sounds nicer than James Callis' 40s accent on Eureka. I love James Callis, but his accent sort of annoys me there. When you start using sentences like  'Hey there, pallo (?)' it just doesn't work for me. Then I'd much rather listen to the newly invented Scottish American accent.

Awwwwww David!!!!!! Hadn't seen that yet so thanks for posting!

Have to admit though his accent kinda bugs me. As I'm neither American nor British myself I don't really know about all the accents either but I guess I just kinda miss his voice here, it sounds so off. And for me it really doesn't sound all that American but well not sure I really could say that...

Still would've loved to see that show!!!

I've been hearing from various people that his accent goes from New York to Chicago to well.. Scotland LOL, so that's probably a bit off xD Bless you, David.
But I am biased and I would not have minded hearing this on a weekly basis! :D I agree that it doesn't sound all that American, and I can't really say what it does sound like, but just look at THE PRETTY :D

I AM SO ANGRY AT NBC FOR NOT PICKING THIS SHOW UP. LIKE WHAT. I think is accent is great, since you can hear his Scottish leaking through and THAT JUMP HE DOES OVER THE COUCH EUEIFHELKRJF. I mean, his accent def. isn't all-American, but that's why I love it <3 Like. Dude. If David did an American show so I could have him on my TV all year round...but nooo, NBC never picked it up, so we don't get his amazingness :(:(

And yeah, True Blood's got Southern accents :) Though they're a bit...not right. At least from what I've heard. I'm in middle America, so my accent's pretty plain compared to other places.

Oooo yes, when I first started watching House, I had no idea that Hugh was British. Then I heard an interview with him and was like WHAT. He does an amazing job.

UGH. NBC, why? I need my David Tennant on a weekly basis jumping over couches and trying on different accents.

His American accent makes me laugh a little. It's adorable. You can really tell he's Scottish.

Great clip.

The Scottish slipping through is the beauty of this self-invented accent. xD It's unique and it's cute! I wish there was a way we could see this entire episode! I miss David on my telly :(

I totally followed you home from the DW friending meme. *cough*

This clip deserves to be re-played many times. On a loop even. Just saying.

I'm Australian, and no great master at picking American accents, but it sounds... weird. Too thick. Everyone loves a Scottish accent, though, so David using his would have been glorious.

Yay for the friending meme and welcome :D

Agreed. I'm suffering from David Tennant withdrawal so I am clinging on to this little clip as long as I can xD There is so much pretty in this 1 minute video and even though the accent perhaps isn't quite right, it's a lovely mix of Scottish and other things and what else do we need, really?

But yes, it would definitely have been glorious if he could've used his Scottish accent, arguably the sexiest accent of them all.

Why have I not heard of this or seen this before!?

The only problem I have with it is that the accent is off - his natural accent breaks through every so often and it just makes me wish that he could just be his lovely Scottish self.

Nevertheless, it was cute and I smiled throughout the whole thing before cursing NBC for being so epically lame and not taking this on!!

(And I agree - every time a Brit is on a show, it becomes infinitely better - now. If only we could get television shows to let them keep their lovely accents.)
