1)  Seriously, why they even let this man use a NON-Scottish accent is beyond me. This once again proofs that.

2) I haven't seen True Blood yet!  So I'm not going to say anything about that xD But I have seen the True Blood comic con panel and since I'm not really participating in that fandom and never watch interviews I DID NOT KNOW STEPHEN MOYER WAS SECRETLY BRITISH. He's quite charming actually. I'm not really fond of Bill, but Stephen is very funny! Bill is just like UH SOOKEEEH. LOL at Anna Paquin imitating this. xD

3) More Comic con! I've also seen the Eureka panel and there was some great spoilery news that made me very happy, but the best part of the panel was this girl asking James Callis:
GIRL: 'This is a sort of random question that popped in my head. James, you said you really were intrigued by the time travel..any chance we'll see you on Doctor Who?'
*LOTS of screaming in the audience and Colin Ferguson makes this incredibly cute YES and hits the table a few times with his fist which makes me love him even more*
Then James makes the obligatory  'Doctor Who??' joke and says he doesn't know. Apparantly his name was in the mix for Eleven? I had not heard this. I'd like to think he started this rumour himself ♥ . He said he didnt [do it/ audition?] because he just finished BSG. But his answer is  'Maybe, maybe not'.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about James Callis as the Doctor. He'll obviously be great plus he already has a sci fi history on a hit show so he'll know what he's getting into, but on the other hand, I kind of like that the last two Doctors were not really well known and now they are brilliant. And I don't want Matt Smith to go. He's starting to grow on me. I now imagine the Doctor having Baltars personality, LOL.

4) This just made my day. Best quote: Because Anderson was actually *gasp* PROFESSOR SEVERUS SNAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, one more: Suddenly, they arrived at the crime scene. Everyone was naked, civilians and police force alike, except for Anderson, who was wearing a dinosaur costume.
I don't even know why this is so funny to me, but it JUST IS :DD Anderson should be a regular on Sherlock. Make it happen, Moffat!
sherlockbbc you are flooding my flist! I was just searching this thread again after I left it last night, and I had to go back like 40 entries. I love this fandom.

True Blood is awesome. Except that sometimes the Bill/Sookie love scenes are kinda awkward for me b/c Stephen and Anna are a real life couple. So I feel like I'm intruding or something. I've known Stephen was British for a little while but it was really weird the first time I heard him speak in his natural accent. So funny when that stuff happens.

I know how you feel. I did know Stephen and Anna are dating and it does makes me feel slightly uncomfortable watching those scenes. I felt the same way about Chase and Cameron on House when Jesse and Jennifer were dating.

But yes, it was really weird to hear him speak in his natural accent! I've gotten so used to his Southern accent and I was like Wait, what now? You just expect him to be someone and then your expectations are smashed xD. Hugh Laurie took me by suprise as well!

Oddly, I didn't have that problem with House. Maybe because their love scenes weren't near as graphic as Stephen and Anna's are on True Blood.

Lol. I know, its like culture shock or something. I didn't know Hugh Laurie was British for the longest time. It still takes me a second to get used to his natural accent when I hear it.

BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY. At least I find it to be XD

Ugh man, Sherlock is taking over my mind. WHY only 3 episodes :(:(
coletness: DT and Cumberbatchcoletness on August 17th, 2010 05:05 pm (UTC)
I KNOW! How could they even think three episodes would be enough! The BBC should've just said "Wellll... why don't we make this a 13-episode season, Moffat! People will love this!" after they had seen the pilot.

I feel like people in high places don't always see the potential in obviously GREAT shows that could've been amazing or are amazing but aren't getting enough episodes.

I knew Moyer was British, but I watched an interview with him and Anna and ASkars a while back and it WAS SO BIZARRE to hear them all have different accents from their characters!

I kind of like that the last two Doctors were not really well known and now they are brilliant.

Yeah, I agree with that! It's such an iconic character that I like not having previous associations with the actors.

I'm not a Dr. Who fan, but for James Callis I'd totally watch it.
